• Tomorrow 4/11/15 we are going to have a test about adjectives I practised sunday and saturday, so I hope I get a good grade. Like a 8,7 or 6.

Entrou uma nova professora de portugues a Ms. Camargo saiu entrou a Mrs.Kelly. Isso foi muito dificil para a gente se adaptar com ela. Ela deu varias notas baixas ate para os melhores da classe.
Mas do que eu gostei foi de criar o poema foi muito legal e divertido. Eu tambem gostei que a nova professora é mais simpatica e nao briga muito.

Introdução

Sou Lorenzo. Vou fazer um diário de bordo, porque vou viajar daqui 2 semanas. Aqui vou falar como foi meu dia a dia no barco, e oque eu fiz. Não posso esperar para começar a escrever o meu belo diário de bordo e compartilhar as belas e interessantes aventuras que espero acontecer dentro da caravela.

9 de março de 1500

Hoje estamos saindo de Portugal são 11:00 da manha, deve ser ótimo ser um faxineiro e cozinheiro do barco. Sou também o belo ajudante do Cabral. E seu melhor amigo. Hoje tive que me preparar para embarcar para chegar a Índia, ou descobrir uma nova rota para Índia. Estamos todos prontos já até peguei minha bussola nunca saio sem ela. Uso minha bussola para ver em que direção o barco esta indo. Estou assustado com a viagem deixar a mulher e os filhos sozinhos em Portugal, talvez não seja uma boa ideia . Mas tomar vinho na beira do barco com meu melhor amigo, é um vidão. Prestes a levantar a ancora e estamos saindo. As meia noite, estávamos bebendo um belo vinho tinto para comemorar a nossa saída. Sorte que eu os lembrei de levar os barris de vinho. O vinho tinto é uma bebida para adulto que a gente não podia tomar sempre, para não acabar. Quando nós acabamos de beber o vinho tinto acionamos a ampulheta para medir o tempo que levava para chegar a Terra.

Bussola

10 de março de 1500

Hoje as 9:00 da manha, já chegamos em mar aberto, já fiz ate o almoço e a bebida era vinagre e azeite e o almoço era bolachas. Mas o que não me deixava feliz era que ninguém gostava da comida então ficavam sem comer. As 16:00 tive que limpar a cozinha toda e o barco. Eu não gostava de ser faxineiro porque eu não tenho direito de comer na sala aonde as pessoas reais comiam como o Cabral. Ao anoitecer percebi que tinha sido roubado, minha bela bussola tinha sumido. As 22:00 da noite iria ter uma festa, acompanhei  o Cabral na festa. Tinham varias pessoas dançando e festejando. Não podia me esquecer que amanhã iria ser o aniversário do Cabral.

11 de março de 1500

Hoje é o aniversário do Cabral . Fizemos uma grande comemoração. Eu tive que limpar o convés todo e percebi que o tanque de biscoitos tinha sumido não o tanque tinha sumido, os biscoitos eram o que tinha sumido. Chamei Cabral imediatamente. Cabral declarou uma investigação pelo tanque de biscoitos. Eu olhava para trás e via o timoneiro usando um astrolábio. O astrolábio era bem usado para ver aonde nós estávamos.

Hoje as 2:00 foi a grande descoberta. João descobriu um grande furo no tanque de biscoitos mas esse não era o grande problema. O problema era que aos poucos ia entrando água no barco. E todos começaram a entrar em desespero, porque se a caravela afundasse todos iriam morrer. Hoje as 8:00 da noite tivemos também um grande problema uma doença chamada peste negra começou a afetar a tripulação essa doença vinha dos ratos. 5 pessoas morreram, nesse dia.

As 11:00 da manhã a caserna ou o porão do barco já estava com bastante agua. Mais o bom era que dava para continuar a viagem. Todos procurando por ilhas mais nem uma delas são avistadas. A 1:00 da manhã eu acho a minha Bussola eu percebi quem tinha pego ela foram os ratos. Eles estragaram ela, agora ela não funciona mais ela aponta para o Norte mas é o Sul. Ela aponta para o Oeste e é o Leste. Ela quebrou totalmente. Após ter recebido minha bussola de volta voltei a dormir.

10 de abril de 1500

Hoje as 8:00 da manha várias pessoas começaram a sofrer de Escorbuto. Essa é uma doença causada por falta de vitamina C. Eu comecei a achar que as pessoas estavam pegando essa doença porque não comiam a comida e por causa da falta de biscoitos. Fui conversar  com Cabral queria saber se ele estava bem. Quando deu meia noite em ponto entrei no quarto dele ele estava muito preocupado com os marinheiros. Ele me disse que vários estavam morrendo e isso não era bom, se todos morrerem a viagem iria acabar. Eu lhe disse para não se preocupar que vai ficar tudo bem. Quando eu iria continuar minha fala ele manda eu ir embora. Então, sem querer ficar encrencado, vou embora lentamente e me deito para dormir.

12 de abril de 1500

Hoje as 6:00 todos tiveram muita sorte porque eu achei a farinha de centeio. Era a única coisa que tínhamos para comer. Mas o cheiro daquela farinha era horrível, tinha cheiro de xixi. As 14:00 a agua já estava cobrindo a parte de baixo do barco, quase que o barco não anda mais. As 20:00 em ponto já tinham morrido muita gente, só sobrou 18 marinheiros no barco. Sem contar os que estavam doentes, quase morrendo. Estávamos virando para o Oeste. Cabral disse que virando para o Oeste nós incontrariamos a Índia então a caravela se virou para o Oeste.

19 de abril de 1500

Hoje as 9:00 da manhã, descobri que estava com peste negra. Fui para o lugar aonde os doentes ficavam. Quando deu 13:00 da tarde comecei a pensar como peguei peste negra. E acho que descobri o motivo, poderia ser aqueles ratos que apareceram com a minha bussola. Eu estava sem mais forças. Agora as 20:00 vou ir dormir. Cabral até já veio me visitar. O barco está ficando cada vez pior. Parece que nós não temos mais esperanças. São 21:00 horas já vou me deitar . Doentes tem que ir dormir mais sedo.

21 de abril de 1500

São 9:00 da manha não sei como consegui sobreviver a esses dias. As pessoas achavam que eu estava morto, só porque eu dormi por 2 dias. Sobraram pouquíssimos marinheiros na caravela, por volta de 13. Cabral acabou pegando um grande resfriado, mas ele estava se sentindo bem. Não se sentindo mal como eu e os outros marinheiros que estavam com serias doenças. Estamos procurando por terra, já que nós não avistamos a Índia. Ainda eu aqui não me sentindo bem, eu estou muito fraco, eu nem consigo sentir meu corpo. Quando deu 20:00 da noite já ia me deitando o barco continua com o buraco entrando agua, mais dessa vez entrou mais agua do que as outras vezes.

22 de abril de 1500

São 5:00 da manha e uma coisa inacreditável aconteceu avistamos uma ilha com a luneta. A luneta é utilizada para ver coisas ou objetos de longa distancia. Quando Cabral avistou a ilha gritou terra a vista ! E todos pularam de alegria alguns até choraram. Eu fiquei surpreso e feliz por ver terra novamente. Cabral avançou o mais rápido possível a caravela para chegar até a terra. As 15:00 nós aterrissamos na ilha fizemos uma comemoração e tanto. Até os doentes podiam participar, tomamos muito vinho e agradecemos por a viagem ter dado certo não completamente certo queríamos ir para a Índia em busca de especiarias e pedras preciosas. Mais pelo menos nós estávamos vivos. As pessoas que estavam em boa disposição foram em busca de alimentos. Quando deu 20:00 horas eles voltaram com varias frutas tropicais banana, cacau, café, etc… As 11:00 Quando nós estávamos indo dormir na praia eu comecei a me sentir bem melhor da peste negra eu já estava conseguindo sentir meu corpo, e estava um pouco mais forte. Eu dormi super feliz e sem preocupações sabendo que estava em terra e não em alto mar. Então dormi feito um anjo.

 In the first day we did a marshmallow competition the objective was to do a macaroni tower and put the marshmallow on top. The biggest tower was going to win.








After we did a Hypothesy of the bean investigation. The bean invastigation was 2 beans one was growing in the dark the other one was growing in the light. This is a copy of my Hypothesis.                                      Hypothesis

If we put the bean seed in the dark it won’t get the energy from the sunlight that he needs to grow if we put it in the light it will get the energy that it needs from the sun.Beans use the sun energy too grow their own food, this process is called photosynthesis. The bean gets the energy from the sunlight. If we put it in the sunlight the soil will get the energy from the sun, the energy that the soil needs and that will make the soil strong.

 Rosalind Franklin
 WANTED: For new discoverys about DNA’s
  Rosalind Franklin was born in July 25, 1920 in London. by the age of 15 Rosalind wanted to be a scientist. She studiyed in Newnham College. In 1938 she started to study chemestry. In 1946 she went to a Laboratoire Central in Paris, that she worked with Jacques Mering . She did a X-ray diffrection and she used it to create images of a crystalized solid. In 1951 Rosalind started working in King’s College London, Rosalind had a student her name was Raymond Gosling. When Rosalind and Raymond Gosling where studying DNA structure with the X-ray diffrection, they made a big discovery. They discovered that there were two forms of it, a dry "A" form and a wet "B" form, one of their X-ray diffrection pictures of the "B" form of DNA, known as Photograph 51, became famous. The DNA was called deoxyribonucleic acid. When she finished her DNA project she went back to London. She started studying in  Birkbeck College, where she was working on tabaco virus. While working on this project, she discovered that she was with ovarian cancer. So she died in April 16, 1958 with 37 years old.

We just started unit 3 and the first thing we did was write a hypothesis. Because we are going to do a experiment that works like this:
We are going to have different cars. One car weiths 50g and the other one weiths 10g. So which one is going to go down the ramp in a faster speed. So we needed to write a hypothesis about that.
I thought what was challenging was the cells test.
I liked the experiance of the car with maore mass will go down the ramp in a faster speed.

Today we are having a test I am scared, but my teacher said that is just a normal test and you don't need to revise nothing. yesterday In our lessons we looked at the expresions of what people feel like:

Today: 29/9/15 

I passed a french video to my french teacher the task was: You needed to film you speaking in french. My french is so,so,so horrible but at list I did something and the spelling is not good. Today the whole class will se my video.

P.E.-

In P.E. we looked at rugby I thought that rugby was not like one of the best sports I ever played but it was quite fun. But it was confusing to get used to the new rules.
In rugby we did a reflection the reflection was good I think.

Reflection of Rugby

I always keep saying what my group could do and I always say “go,go to attack” “nice attack go guys let’s continue” .But I always pass the ball backwords of course. In the last lesson of P.E. I ran and tried to score the point so i think I started to participate more than the other lessons. Because when I catched the ball I ran to do the points and I did points. I think I was not raning because I was scared to loose the ball so I passed it, but now I anderstanded that I need to take risks to do the point.

Goals: I need to stop, to speck portugues because when I am tallking to a friend are a gril I speak portugues, but when I am saying “go attack, we can do this” then I speak english.


After finishing the rugby lessons we started to work in football and hockey but more in football.

Food Is The Best

Yum,yum,yum food is the best !!!!!!! Maria da Luz was born in March ,15 of 1944 in Portugal. She is the second oldest sibling of her family, after Isabel. She had 3 more brothers and her mum and dad was called, Maria da Conceição and Afonso Eduardo. She lived in a poor village, with her family.

Life In Portugal

Yay,yay,yay life in Portugal !!!!!!!!! Maria in her time she didn’t have internet and iphones to play with so she played in the road, in the street ,with leaves and snow. Maria loved to play with snow but what she most liked to do was get the fruits from the trees and do juice of it. Maria went to school but she had a poor education.

Education

Lern,lern and learn. Maria studied in the morning and she finished school at the afternoon, but she ate at her house. Her school was in her village she was 6 years old.

Moving To Brazil

No, no and no !!!!!!!!!!!! Maria’s dad went to brazil for work and Maria stayed with her mum and brothers. When her dad started to work there, he called his family. Maria REALY, REALY AND REALY, didn’t want to go because she loved her home and she was not going to see her grandmother and grandfather again. But she went to Brazil. She went by cruse. In the middle of the trip to Brazil her mum got sick and she asked her and her oldest sister to take care of their brothers. So Maria and Isabel took care of their brothers but after a few days in the cruse it happened a big coincidence all of her brothers got sick especially her. So all of them went to the nurse of the cruse and when they were almost not expecting, they got in Brazil.

Education

Learn, learn and learn. Maria studied in the morning and she finished school at the afternoon, but she ate at her house. Her school was called Estados Unidos, she studied Portuguese, maths, science and louds of more subjects. In school Maria made a friend called Ana and Ana turned her best friend. Maria finished school in primary because she needed to help her mum in the house and work to get money to they pay the food and house, etc.

New Life In Brazil

Loved, loved, loved life in Brazil !!!!!!!!!!! Maria had a rubric her rubric was to go to school then go to work and when she finish her work go home. When is Saturday and Sunday she stays in her house and help her mum in the house and also play with her brothers and sister.

Adult life

Finally, finally, finally adult !!!!!!!!!! When Maria turned in to adult Maria went work in stores. She didn’t lived alone when she was married was the day she started to live with her husband.

Being Married

Boom, boom, boom new life is coming !!!!!!!!!!!! Maria was married, she was married in 5 of November of 1966 she was married in the church of Nossa Senhora Da Conceição. Her husband was called Zacarias and she stayed married with him for the rest of her life.

First Son

Yay, yay, yay being mum !!!!!!!!!!!!! Maria turned into a mum her son was called Antonio but she had a big surprise in her life. Antonio was born with a heart problem but he stayed ok. But it was not so easy to take care of Antonio he was a really adventurer boy.

Second Son

Yay, yay, yay having another son !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maria had another son his name was Alex. Maria needed to stop working because of Alex but that was ok because Zacarias was working. Alex was the same thing as Antonio but he was fat and blond.

Old Life

Oh, oh, oh old life coming !!!!!!!!!!! When Maria had 58 years old her son Antonio got married with Denise my mum and then they went live together but Alex continued living in Maria's house. Maria felt sad for him not living with her any more, but she new that this time was going to come.

Being Grandmother

Wow, wow, wow being grandmother !!!!!!!!!!!!!! When a few years passed when Maria was 59 years old l was born !!!!!! All of Maria ‘s family came to see me my name was Mariana. Maria thought that I was very cute. After some years my dad and mum went to work and I didn’t have a nanny, so Maria took care of me.

Being Grandmother

Wow, wow, wow being grandmother !!!!!!!!!!!!!! A few years later, Maria had two more grandchildren when she was 61 years old Thiago was born, but she stopped taking care of us because Denise and Antonio called a nanny to take care of us. When she had 65 Lucas was born. So she has 3 grandchildren.

Todays Life

Old,old and old. Today Maria is with 70 years old and she lives in Botafogo in Rio de Janeiro. Maria is already retired she continues living with Zacarias.Maria loves to cook and she is happy that her family loves, loves and loves her food. Maria is as happy as a Bunny getting a carrot, because she made her dream come through : have a family, with 2 sons and 3 grandchildren, that she loves like no other thing in her life.

After we finished the biography we did a video Documentary but my group we didn't finished yet but I think it is pretty good.

Today 16/9/15. We finally finished our documentary video and I finished the jornal today as well .And know I am looking at my blog, but the jornal is like a diary of what I did each day in the english lesson.

In math we were studying patterns like the sequence.

After studying patterns we looked at algebra. When you look at it the first time you don't understand nothing but after you understand. We had a test day 11/9/15 of maths in algebra but the test was quite easy so now we are almost finishing our unit of patterns.

UNIT 2

 We are looking at fractions.

UNIT 3

We are working on a meal plan for Petar.

The challenges was the meal plan teste. For me it was very difficult I was always sad and scared, but than I realised that I need to look to the future not to the past. So now my grade will be my grade.

One of the fun experiences were to creat the meal plan it was fun. We were always laughing.
